The JFLA app provides a streamlined pre-application process aimed at reducing the time taken from application to funding for short-term loans available to Los Angeles, Ventura, or Santa Barbara County residents. This expedited process is particularly crucial for borrowers experiencing hardships like medical emergencies, facing housing eviction, or seeking assistance with small business loans, infertility treatments, among other circumstances. Additionally, the app facilitates document uploads and enables applicants to monitor the status of their loan application.

Utilize the JFLA App to secure a Personal/Emergency, Small Business, or Education loan.

Personal/Emergency Loans:

• Access up to $15,000 with the support of two qualified guarantors.
• Use the loan funds for various personal or emergency expenses associated with housing, rental assistance, unforeseen costs, medical emergencies, dental treatments, and more. The loans can also assist with domestic violence-related expenses, in-home healthcare, IVF/adoption expenses, and funeral costs.
• Loans cannot be allocated towards legal fees or travel expenses.
• Documented proof of need is mandatory for application submission.
• Appropriate for housing necessities such as rent payments, Section 8 security deposits, relocation expenses, essential furnishings, and emergency home repairs.

Small Business Loans:

• Borrow up to a maximum of $36,000 with backing from two qualified guarantors.
• Funds can support new business ventures, expansion of small enterprises, rental costs, inventory procurement, technology upgrades, green energy initiatives, and more.
• Submission of recent business tax return along with a valid CA Business License, CA Seller Permit, or City of LA Tax Registration Certificate is mandatory for loan consideration.
• Personalized circumstances of each applicant are reviewed by the Loan Committee via the JFLA app.

Education Loans:

• Borrow up to $7,500 accompanied by the endorsement of two qualified guarantors.
• Students can seek financial aid for various educational pursuits including traditional 4-year college education, Nursing programs, Medical or Dental studies, Community college courses, Vocational or Trade school training, and more. These loans can cover tuition fees, housing expenses, transport costs, book purchases, computer needs, and additional educational expenditures.
• Funds applicable for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
• Students must apply during the designated enrollment period.
• A single loan renewal per year permitted upon evidence of full-time enrollment status.
